Harmony Wants To Take Music Seriously

Singer Susan Ekwe, aka Harmony, looks forward to making giant strides in her career. She is the daughter of seasoned actor, Ignis Ekwe – best known for his role in the rested network TV drama series,Cock Crow at Dawn.

Although she originally started out as a Nollywood actress, the 27-year-old singer would rather not talk about that aspect of her life.

“That part of my acting career is dead because I didn’t enjoy my time as an actress and I really don’t like to talk about it. I want people to see me as Harmony and not Susan Ekwe, the one-time actress. I also do not want my fame to be tied to my father’s acting career,” she says, sounding a little upset.

While she reveals that her father is not in support of her career, she hopes to make an impact in the music industry.

“I love music. I have been singing since I was in primary school in the choir cultural group and I love all things entertainment. There is a lot of room for everyone to excel. I mean it is big enough to contain everyone. I am not coming to compete but to find my place in the industry. Many people now take female artistes seriously in this country,” she says.
