Man United are reportedly ready to lodge a world record £90m bid for Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale.
The Old Trafford side will look to make the most of reports that the
Welsh international has fallen out with a number of his team-mates at
the Bernabeu to make a massive offer for the former Tottenham man.
If
Bale has indeed become an unpopular figure at Real Madrid it certainly
hasn’t affected his game, the 25 year old having scored five goals and
provided four assists in nine starts in La Liga and Champions League
action.
Real Madrid paid £85m to bring in Bale from White Hart
Lane in the summer of 2013 and even though such an offer from Man United
would exceed that sum it does seem highly unlikely that president
Florentino Perez would consider bids for Bale as he has become a crucial
part of Carlo Ancelotti’s first team set-up.
Man United have
spent big to improve their squad and a move for Bale is perhaps hard to
fathom and would certainly lead Louis van Gaal to struggle to fit the
likes of Radamel Falcao, Robin Van Persie, Angel di Maria, Wayne Rooney
AND Bale into his starting eleven.
