pastor arrested for raping woman during deliverance session

Anthony Arogunmasa, a pastor who resides on Araromi Street, Ikere Ekiti has been arrested for allegedly raping a 19-year-old girl.
According to police account, Arogunmasa reportedly lured the unsuspecting woman into his room under the pretence of cleansing her from spiritual bondage.

He was said to have committed the said crime on September 23 at about 8pm after threatening the victim.

Victor Babayemi, the Ekiti Police spokesman, described as a serial rapist who lured women into bed under false pretences.

“On getting to his room, the victim was threatened and put under fear of harm before being raped.

“Medical report confirmed that the victim was actually raped by the suspect while preliminary investigation revealed that he is a serial rapist, who lures hapless women with ‘spiritual cleansing’ to have unlawful canal knowledge of them.”
